Tyler Bryce

I haven't posted any pictures of little Tyler yet! Tyler was born July 20, 2011 and he is a little chunk compared to Evan...Right now he's 14 pounds and he's 3 months old. Evan was 16 pounds when he turned one...so Tyler is going to be the "bigger" little brother I think!

I have only met Tyler once and I can't wait to see him again! He's growing too fast and all I see are pictures! here are a few:3 weeks old - first and only time seeing him so far!

I guess Tyler doesn't like Evan holding him! :)And some more recent ones:He definitely has a "Knapp" look to him. He looks much more like Marlys (in my opinion judging from pictures) You tell me, Do they look like Brothers?

Me and My Pal

We're just sitting in our hotel room just vegging for the night now! It's 7:41 here in Maui and 11:41 back home, so we've been kind of turning in early. Anyways, Marlys went to phone Terry so I got to hang out with the little guy! We had some fun.

Christmas 2009

Well, it is the last day of 2009 and the holidays sure were great! We spent the Christmas week down at my sister's place in Medicine Hat and just had a lot of fun together. We got there on the 21 and spent the next day or so doing Christmas baking and playing lots of games of course! We made a batch of lefse this year and it sure didn't last long! It's one of my family's Christmas traditions and we don't fancy skipping out on it often. In case you don't know what it is, it's a thin potato pancake thing and you put butter and sugar on it and roll it up! So delicious, although a lot of people don't really like it. It might be an acquired taste ;). The next morning we went and did some last minute shopping for food and stuff for boxing day and whatnot. That proved to be a busy one because of all the last minute Christmas shoppers! Superstore and Costco were a nightmare!! But we got out of there without a bruise, so all was well! The next night we went to Terry's mom and dad's place and visited with them on Christmas Eve. We went to the Christmas Eve candelight service at their church first and then went over to their place afterwards. Then on Christmas morning, we woke up around 9 and began opening presents, and boy did we all get spoiled this year!! It was really fun to watch Evan "open" presents this year, although he was definitely more interested in the wrapping paper than he was in the presents! So Marlys just opened his presents and gave him the wrapping paper to play with haha. Christmas day, Terry's mom and dad were having the Christmas dinner at their place and they invited all of us over so we spent another day at their place feasting and playing games, and again, hot tubbing. We went home pretty late and all just crashed from the hot tubbing I think. The next day, my dad, Terry and I went snowboarding out at Hidden Valley ski hill in the Cypress hills! It was so much fun, but I hadn't done it in probably 2 seasons so I was pretty sore for awhile afer, and I actually still have a sore ligament in my hip that I pulled pretty bad near the end of the day! But it was still worth the pain. When we went back home, Mom and Marlys had gotten a early Birthday fondue party going to me! It was so fun. We did meat and veggies in oil, and then of course the fruit and chocolate. My birthday "cake" was half an apple with sparklers in it, but I loved it :) Then the next day, we had to say goodbye and we headed home. Now we're looking at just a quiet evening at home tonight playing games and welcoming in the new year! My sister sent my mom some recent pictures of Evan. He's 8 months old now! Haven't seen him for 2 months, so I'm excited to see anything of him! Here he is...

Too Cute

I found some pictures on my camera's memory card of Evan that I forgot to put on my computer. This was back in July. He's got some big smiles! The quality didn't turn out the way they actually are, but you get the idea, he's pretty cute no matter what the quality of picture haha.

Also, I've been in Edmonton for exactly one year today. Crazy! It's gone by pretty fast now that I look back.

Family Fun Time

This week I was able to get off of work because for the next two weeks, another girl at work will be gone on holidays and my boss wanted me to take this week off, So my mom and I went to Medicine Hat last friday night and came back on Wednesday, but Marlys and Evan came back with us! So we've been having quite a fun time with them all. Kyle and Terry were able to get off of work yesterday at 1 so they got here at about 7 ish yesterday and they went golfing today while us girls went to the farmers market (even though it's crazy hot today!!) we didn't go for long because Evan was getting too hot so we came home and have been quilting since! I finished my first quilt yesterday and will post pics at a later date when it's all quilted and everything, and now I'm starting on my second quilt! It's going really good anyways :) I'm enjoying it! I really just wanted to post a video of my mom and I trying hard to make Evan laugh. He is a bit camera shy me thinks :)

Good Week(end)

Since Wednesday was a holiday for everyone (Happy Canada Day People!) I was able to get Thursday and Friday off as well and head down to Medicine Hat to visit the family. I worked until five on Tuesday then went home, quickly packed and my parents and I left the house at about 7! It was the first time we took our motorhome on a trip and it turned out to be really awesome! I played my guitar, and read, and slept on a bed while driving! Good stuff :) Anyways, we drove until about midnight and decided to pull over at a rest stop for the night. It was raining and my dad was having a hard time seeing. We woke up at 8 the next morning and ended up getting to Marlys and Terry's place at 9:47 am! It was nice to have all of wednesday through sunday to be with all of them. We had so much fun! Wednesday night we went to Kin Coulee and watched the fireworks from Kyle's back yard (well, we walked a little ways, there was a big tree in the way). The rest of the weekend we just relaxed and enjoyed each other's company. Saturday we loaded up the motorhome again and all of us drove down to Writing on Stone provincial park which is only about 40 km north of the Montana Border. Writing on Stone has a bunch of Hoodoos and has actual stone writings of battles that the Blackfoot natives carved. It was really hard to see because it's so faded, but it was neat nonetheless :) Then we dropped mom off in Claresholm on Sunday for a funeral that was today (my uncle's dad died) and my dad and I drove back sunday night because we both had to work today. It was a really good weekend. And of course, no weekend report is complete without a new picture of Evan! He's three months old now and SO adorable! I thought he was cute when he was a newborn but now he's SUPER Adorable haha :) You judge for yourself!

Evan's Song

I always think it's cute when people make up little songs for their kids or nephews/neices. My mom used to sing "Kari Baby" to me (the tune to the song "Sherry Baby") and I wanted to think up a little song for Evan. I sung it to him today and my sister loved it haha. It's to the tune of Ernie's Rubber ducky song from Sesame street.

Faves from the Weekend

As most of you know, I went down to see Evan this weekend and boy is he just the little sweetheart!! He's such a quiet baby and only complains when he really needs something. He also already started to lift his head and he's only a week old! I also saw a couple of smiles from him and he's just too awesome for words! I of course had to get a few pictures of the little guy, so here are a few of my favorites! Praying like a good christian boy :)

Medicine Hat Family time!

I left Edmonton this morning at around 9 and got to medicine hat today at around 3:15 and it was a really good drive! Come strathmore I didn't want to spend another 2 hours in the vehicle after driving for four straight hours. But once I got here it was awesome! I saw Evan and he is so Teeny! But super adorable. He was awake when I showed up so I got to spend about half an hour with him before he had to eat again and he fell right asleep right after and just woke up about twenty minutes ago. I had to tickle his ribs to wake him up so he could eat again. He just slept in my arms for about 4 hours and we watched over the hedge. It was so nice! I'm definitely looking forward to the next two days, and next weekend to spend with him and the rest of the fam!

It's a Boy!!!!

Marlys had her baby!!! She went into the hospital at 4:30 this morning and was sent home to have a warm bath to speed things up. So she did but they came back two hours earlier than they were supposed to. With only about an hour and a half of pushing, Evan Wade Bouthillier was born!!! He's a healthy 6 pounds 6 oz and is very alert and rambunctious! He hasn't slept since he was born which was 3 hours ago now and I guess he's just looking all over and moving. He's just awesome!! In the words of his father "He's pretty perfect!" I'm going down friday morning to meet the little guy and spend as much time with him as I can before the rush of the baby shower the weekend after! I don't think I've loved anyone as much as this little boy right now!! I'll post pictures when I get them :)
