Adrienne - 4-5 months old!

As always Adrienne has been growing like crazy! She is now just over 5 months old and is about 18 pounds. She is constantly smiling and {her new thing} squealing! She looooves her voice. She can be quite loud when she's having fun, but it never fails to make us laugh.

4 month old picture

Cozy on a cold day! I love me those cheeks!!
She has started to play around with noises and her voice. The picture below is her making fart noises. A lot of times she'll be in her crib in the mornings and I know she's awake because I'll hear a "thhpptbbttthhh" through the baby monitor :)
Logan playing her the song he wrote her when we were away for a week. It was a tough week on daddy!
Loving her bedtime stories. She loves to try to eat her bible pages.

 Big girl sitting up!

Jess adores Andi, so they play together a lot! :)
looking like daddy in her jumperoo!
 My big 5 month old!

As you can see from the pictures she is such a joyful little girl. She only complains when she's hungry or tired, or of course when she gets scared. Every morning when she wakes up she'll come hang out in mom and dad's bed and we'll visit and she'll play with us before Logan goes to work. She really loves that I think, because we didn't do that this morning before church and she was whining in her bed because she was lonely!
She is VERY much a people person. She loves all people! She's only played strange a few times and it seems to be men with facial hair that she's not sure about. Other than that she hasn't really had much issues with playing strange.
Generally the consensus is she still looks mostly like me (Kari) but I still see Logan in her for sure, especially that one picture of her in her jumperoo.
We love our Andi girl! She is such a joy and a delight and I'm so proud to be her mother.

Winter is coming..

It's that time of year again. We are bracing ourselves for winter as it begins to really cool off. We've had a few freezes already and my plants out front are dying, so it's a sure sign that snow is soon to follow.
We've been pretty busy the last couple of months. Things are starting to slow down for me, but starting to pick up for Logan, so it'll still be a busy little bit for our family! Logan is enjoying his job at Toyota and doing a wonderful job there. They really like him! He even convinced his best friend to apply for a job there and now they are working together again. They had previously worked with each other at Peace Windows where they met, so it's fun for them to be able to "relive" old times!
Adrienne is growing like a weed! I had her weighed earlier this week and she is 14 pounds and 5 oz. They didn't take her lenght measurement as it was just a drop in weigh in, so i'm not sure how long she is, but she is getting so big. It's bittersweet.
She continues to be such a ray of sunshine! She is an incredibly happy girl and you don't have to work hard to get a smile out of her! To get her to laugh on the other hand you have to work fairly hard. She seems to get the giggles before bedtime so we like to play with her then and then have our story time to calm her down again :)
So far she still looks majority like me although "I" am seeing more and more of Logan. He doesn't believe me, so we'll leave it at that :) She has her chubbiness from him though as I wasn't really ever a chubby baby.

We had her dedicated on September 7th along with the other 5 babies that were born so far this year

My mom always puts her pants on her head when she changed her diapers :)
Her favorite toy is her Jumperoo. Every day i put her in there and she just goes to town jumping away! She has a little elf dance that she does from foot to foot when she's in it. It's pretty adorable :)
We are getting excited for the holidays! We are still not sure what we are going to do as this is Logan's first year at Toyota and we aren't sure how the holidays work around that time. We may go to Regina which would be great! If we aren't able to get much time off we will most likely stay here or go to Edmonton, so either way we're hoping to see family! It would be our first christmas with family that we've ever had since we've been married, so it would be lovely!
I hope this post finds you all well! Until next time!

It's been awhile....

Yes, needless to say it's been awhile since an update! I do have an excuse though! I don't have internet at my apartment..so I don't get to come on very often!

It has been a busy few months for sure, making wedding plans, booking places, getting invitations ready and dresses ordered! In spite of all the busyness, things are falling into place! As I type this, we have all the dresses ordered, the venues booked, invitations almost ready to be mailed out, registry almost finished, and more! It's been crazy, but I've been enjoying everything and watching it all fall into place! What's next is getting tuxes, flowers and planning out the ceremony and reception. Still a few more busy months until the big day! :)

Logan, Davis, Kaden and I also had the opportunity to go to Ontario to visit all their relatives and friends. It was a really great week and I got to meet a lot of great people! The week was super busy with family gatherings and church events and touring around Toronto, so it went by too fast. We're hoping to make it back again soon and to stay a little longer :)

Another interesting thing that has happened over the past month, is my brother Kyle got engaged as well! Their wedding date is July 2nd of this year! For my family, within a span of 5 weeks, there are 2 weddings and a baby! Good summer on the horizon!

Down South...in Alberta

At the end of August my family went down to Medicine hat for a camping trip! My brother and his girlfriend headed to Abbotsford for the weekend to visit Leah's family, so they weren't able to join us, but we still had fun! Logan and I left here and met up with my parents at their place, then we loaded up the motorhome and headed down south the next day! It was really nice to travel in the motorhome. Nothing like sleeping on a bed on a six hour drive! Once we arrived, we headed out to Elkwater National (?) park and camped there! It was a really nice relaxing camping trip and we had a great time! Logan and Terry's guitar playing attracted a few drunk ladies from the next campsite over, so that was pretty interesting, but funny nonetheless! Close up of Logan while we went up top of the hill to Horseshoe CanyonLogan's attempt to take a picture of me without waking me up. Nice close up! :P

The view from Horseshoe canyon!

Catch up on all the happenings!

So it's been a long time since I've updated...whoops! I'm going to try to make it a regular thing, I'll just have to find interesting things to post about :) I have a lot to catch up on so here's post 1 of a few!
This summer was my grandparent's 50th anniversary so we had a family reunion to celebrate! It was a lot of fun and we met at the end of July for a couple of days. We all met in Edmonton at my parents place and had a blast! We played lots of games and had some good visits, made some s'mores. It was so nice! As a 50th anniversary present, my parents and my dad's siblings bought them a trip to Nova Scotia because they've always wanted to go! They went with my mom and dad in September for about 10 days and had a blast! It was a really great way to celebrate and it was great to see everyone again! :)
My Brother and his girlfriend Leah! What a pair :)Everyone gathering in the tent for the cake cuttingGrandma and Grandpa 50 years later!

My Nephew Evan loved squishing his face against the screen door! I have many more pictures like this!

Living the life

My parents recently purchased a convertible. Apparently once all the kids move out you can be footloose and fancy free like the good ol' days :P Anyways, it was a secret until my parents could surprise my siblings by showing up at their house in a convertible, so now the secret is out! It's a 1990 Mercedes XL500 I believe? Correct me if I'm wrong, but anyways, here's my dad working on getting "favorite son-in-law" title from my grandpa :)

Me and My Pal

We're just sitting in our hotel room just vegging for the night now! It's 7:41 here in Maui and 11:41 back home, so we've been kind of turning in early. Anyways, Marlys went to phone Terry so I got to hang out with the little guy! We had some fun.

Christmas 2009

Well, it is the last day of 2009 and the holidays sure were great! We spent the Christmas week down at my sister's place in Medicine Hat and just had a lot of fun together. We got there on the 21 and spent the next day or so doing Christmas baking and playing lots of games of course! We made a batch of lefse this year and it sure didn't last long! It's one of my family's Christmas traditions and we don't fancy skipping out on it often. In case you don't know what it is, it's a thin potato pancake thing and you put butter and sugar on it and roll it up! So delicious, although a lot of people don't really like it. It might be an acquired taste ;). The next morning we went and did some last minute shopping for food and stuff for boxing day and whatnot. That proved to be a busy one because of all the last minute Christmas shoppers! Superstore and Costco were a nightmare!! But we got out of there without a bruise, so all was well! The next night we went to Terry's mom and dad's place and visited with them on Christmas Eve. We went to the Christmas Eve candelight service at their church first and then went over to their place afterwards. Then on Christmas morning, we woke up around 9 and began opening presents, and boy did we all get spoiled this year!! It was really fun to watch Evan "open" presents this year, although he was definitely more interested in the wrapping paper than he was in the presents! So Marlys just opened his presents and gave him the wrapping paper to play with haha. Christmas day, Terry's mom and dad were having the Christmas dinner at their place and they invited all of us over so we spent another day at their place feasting and playing games, and again, hot tubbing. We went home pretty late and all just crashed from the hot tubbing I think. The next day, my dad, Terry and I went snowboarding out at Hidden Valley ski hill in the Cypress hills! It was so much fun, but I hadn't done it in probably 2 seasons so I was pretty sore for awhile afer, and I actually still have a sore ligament in my hip that I pulled pretty bad near the end of the day! But it was still worth the pain. When we went back home, Mom and Marlys had gotten a early Birthday fondue party going to me! It was so fun. We did meat and veggies in oil, and then of course the fruit and chocolate. My birthday "cake" was half an apple with sparklers in it, but I loved it :) Then the next day, we had to say goodbye and we headed home. Now we're looking at just a quiet evening at home tonight playing games and welcoming in the new year! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and have a safe and Happy New Year!!!!Mom, Marlys, Evan and I on the couch (just Evans head haha)

Dad and Evan playing under the table. Too funny!

Evan "opening" Gifts

His Christmas Loot!

Mom and Dad bought Kyle a used Guitar for Christmas! He loved it.

So funny! I was playing with Evan, and halfway through, Marlys comes and my mom says
"oh look there's mommy!" and he turns and looks at my sister and just holllers at her. Too good!

Too cute not to post!

My sister sent my mom some recent pictures of Evan. He's 8 months old now! Haven't seen him for 2 months, so I'm excited to see anything of him! Here he is...

Falling asleep after a good meal...
Trying to feed himself that good meal!
And my absolute favorite. Evan in his cute chicken hat! Marlys saw that hat in a baby clothing store before he was born and just had to get it! Cutest thing ever.
