Best New Years Ever

We had a really awesome New Years Party - Fondue! We invited around 15-20 people over and had 2 actual fondue pots and then a pot of oil on the stove going. It was great fun! I think the best part of the evening was singing in the New Year with praises to the Lord! Amazing. So blessed to have the friends and family that we do Happy *belated* New year!

Hawaii Baby!!

We just got back from Hawaii and WOW what an awesome trip - I can't believe the things we saw while we were there, it was awesome. It was lots of fun with family and we really spent most of our time on the beach...but I am ok with that! We saw a lot of stuff from the beach. It is Whale season in Maui right now, so there are tons of humpback whales in the area so you can sit on the beach and watch them jump and slap the water - it's pretty amazing!

Our view from the plane coming in for landing
We had a "rough" landing so the panel fell - only one though! Everyone laughed
The view from our balcony - bliss

One of the restaurant's we ate at just down the beach
All of our bags - and Logan photo bomb
Cutie Tyler
Our room (living room area) we shared with Kyle and Leah
Fun on the beach

All 10 of us sun bathing

Evan being Evan
And our sunburns to finish

This trip was really awesome - We really love our animals and we sure got to see our fair share of them! of course it's whale season so we saw tons of whales. One of our beach days there were 2 sea turtles swimming pretty much right close to shore - they were about 4 feet away. amazing to watch! Then we went on a snorkel trip and saw a dolphin, again within 4 feet - it swam right up to our boat and was playing with it! Amazing to watch. Then Logan and I went for a walk along the beach and we came across a beached seal!! It was a hawaiin monk seal which is apparently one of the rarest seals ever. It comes to shore to rest every once in a while and can stay for up to 3 days! This one stayed for 2 and it was amazing to see. The last thing we saw which i was surprised i wasn't freaked out by - we went snorkelling on our last day and saw a shark within about 20 feet of us! It was just a reef shark so it wasn't dangerous, but it was HUGE. I would say close to 6 or 7 feet long, but it was incredible to watch.

All in all a great time! My parents are still there and they have a bunch of pictures and videos of the animals and whatnot. Once i get my hands on those, be sure that I will post them on here! :)

More wedding photos from this summer

I just realized that I never posted photos from our best friend's Brady and Renessa's wedding so here are a few! Photos were taken by Renessa's cousin Shandy Wascylciw with Captured by Shandy

This one cracks me up everytime!

We're just besties, NBD. I think this is a very nice picture of us

This picture is really special - Renessa's mom is only 41, and her grandma i think is 56 ish so this is a picture of her, her mom, her grandma and her great grandma's wedding rings. You don't get that opportunity very often!

Speaking of weddings, we have another one this year! My cousin Brad is getting married. He actually asked me to take pictures of them the night they proposed. The plan was to have me come along. Kristena had been complaining that they don't have any pictures together, so Brad just explained that me being there was because they don't have any pictures together so it was just a photo shoot. So we had some fun in downtown GP and then in the middle of our photo shoot. I distracted Kristena and while she was talking to me, Brad got down on one knee behind her, and when she turned around i started shooting like crazy! It was lots of fun and I can't wait for the wedding day :)

Seems like it will be another summer full of weddings, but i don't mind :) Weddings are always a wonderful occasion!

Snowy Winter

We have a TON of snow right now - I would say close to 3 feet. It's been crazy.
This is how much snow was on our deck the FIRST time i shovelled. Sorry it's blurry, but it came up close to my knee!
This was before the last snowfall, so we have more snow than that now!

This was how much snow was on our deck the SECOND time i shovelled. It took me close to two hours to shovel the deck the first and second time. I think we will be getting a smaller deck someday!

We've been having a lot of fun this winter - lots of friends over so it's been really fun! But other than that preparing for Christmas and loving Christmas music especially much this year for some reason. This year for Christmas we don't have much planned. Logan only has Christmas day off so we aren't going anywhere. I'm going to Edmonon from the 22-24 to visit with my family but will be back for Christmas day and boxing day, so it sounds like it will be a low key Christmas.

It's been a good year this year. I think I might write a "Christmas" letter to put on here. It may not get done by Christmas so it may end up being a New Years letter..But I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years. Love you all!

Unicorn Infestation

I seem to have Unicorns infesting my house. They pooped all over my cookie sheets...

Just kidding! This is my snack for our small group on Sunday. It's our christmas party with ugly sweaters, gift exchange and snack potluck. I thought everyone would get a kick out of these glittery "poops" :)

Look alikes

ok...so this is kind of a rip off from Darla's post on look alikes, but I just thought it was fun and should share some of the look alikes we *cough* Logan *cough* get all the time. Logan gets compared to the likes of:

Kenny Loggins
 Chris Evans:

 and Pierce Brosnan:
And then there's me.
I get:
Yup. There's me just lookin' like Kevin Spacey. NBD. :) I usually get Asian look alikes, so I was quite surprised to get Keving Spacey. Good times :)

Life These Days

Well, as usual, i haven't posted anything in a few months...so forgive me for that :P It's been fairly busy around here lately. With what, i'm not entirely sure. Just seems like most nights are taken up now. We have been still quite involved in our little church which is - AMAZING! We are absolutely loving our church. Our new pastor and his wife have been the best thing to happen to this church since we've been there, and we have only the Lord to praise for that! There seems to be a revival flowing through it and it is just incredible to watch and be a part of it. We have had some growth in numbers but it's mainly been growth in faith. I've noticed it especially in our own hearts. Awhile ago i posted about how frustrated I was that people all around me were thriving and alive and how i was feeling dead. Now I can say that I feel alive, thriving and amazing. The Lord has really been working on my heart and I am just so excited about it. Praise the Lord for this change! It is truly refreshing and what we needed.

Work has been busy as well, I just received a raise and have now been the one training the new people. It's been challenging to say the least, but the people I am training have been doing really well, so it's been making things a lot easier! Logan's job is going really good as well. Another person from his work is leaving, so Logan is in a sense getting a promotion and will take over this guy's responsibilities. They are also going to be hiring about 3 new people so it will be interesting! Hopefully things go well.

Other than that i guess we have just been entertaining, having lots of people over and just enjoying people's company! That's enough to keep us quite busy, but it's something we really enjoy doing.

We've recently been able to spend a lot of time with our nephews (some of them, and "a lot" being more than usual) It was great! My sister and her family came to stay with us for a week, my brother came for a day or two during that week and it was really nice to see everyone! we also had brent and chantelle over too so we had the 4 little boys running around the house and it was awesome! We had a blast with them! These videos might be sideways..i need to turn my phone the other way when i'm videoing i guess :)

Evan thought these were the crayons he was supposed to use on his coloring page when we were visiting a store - he kept saying "Mom! These crayons aren't working!!!)
I got to babysit Marshall and Keaton a couple of weeks ago and we had fun. I loved this pic of them "playing" Mario Kart together :)

Tyler started doing this weird eyebrow lift thing when he was here. Hilarious!

Marshall and Evan playing Mario Kart - Marshall is Luigi in the bubble just floating in the air - so funny :)
