We are MARRIED! Finally :D And it's been wonderful every single day. I've been loving married life!!
The week before the wedding was pretty crazy busy (surprise surprise!) getting ready with last minute things, doing favors, programs and centerpieces, and we also had a few parties going on that week as well! All week too, I was checking the forecast and they were calling for rain on the saturday, so I was kinda nervous about that, but come saturday, it was beautiful! It was cloudy with bursts of sunshine and not a drop of rain! It made for great pictures and lots of fun with the wedding party driving around :) Logan and I were able to drive my parents convertible mercedes which was awesome!
The ceremony went really well. I was extremely emotional. Before everything started I wasso nervous, that I felt I was going to faint. I was unbelievably nervous! But my dad was there and he held me up on my feet haha :)
When everything was starting I was starting to calm down a bit and then the music started for my dad and I to come through. And I saw Logan at the front and he looked amazing! I started crying as soon as I saw his face, so Im sure all the photos of me walking down the aisle, I have a really distorted look :) It was the best feeling ever being walked down the aisle toward my husband. Best. Day. Ever.
I dont have any pics of the day yet, so once I get some, I will post them! Theres a sneak peek of our wedding photos on Facebook, but if you dont have facebook, you wont be able to see them, but I should be getting them soon, so I will post!

Keaton
Here's a little sneak peek of baby Keaton! He's such a little sweetheart, and he definitely loves his sleep! Hope you love them Chantelle :)

Busy times!
Yeah it's finally time for a bit of an update! I think it's been over a month now, so I guess I should just make the time to do one :P
It's been a pretty crazy month. I've been working a lot, we've had lots of things going on in the evenings and all the wedding plans too! I'm pretty happy though that we're pretty well done with the wedding plans, and just beginning to work on the finishing touches! 39 days to go! It's coming up soooo fast and I can't wait!
We booked our honeymoon and we're heading to the Dominican Republic!! So excited. Unfortunately the way the travelling worked out, we have to go to work for a couple days after the wedding before we can leave, otherwise we would have been missing our reception. No thanks! I'll wait :) Besides, sometimes waiting a bit longer makes it even better right?
I've been getting more photo jobs lately, so that's been great! My cousin/sister-in-law Chantelle just had her baby over two weeks ago, and we got to do some newborn photos last sunday, so I have a few of those to pose! I also got to do some grad photos with a friend which was really fun! We had a great time :) Other than that, looking at a few family sittings here and things are just starting to pick up!
Logan and I also found a basement suite to live in in Grande Prairie. It's quite small, but we're going to make it work! So that's another thing this month is moving! I'm moving into the basement suite at the end of the month, so I'll be busy packing and getting ready to go for the end of this month! It's going to be a crazy ride!
Logan's been loving his job! He's been doing so good that his manager actually gave him a personal challenge to sell all the taylor guitars in the store in a month, and then the manager will do something for him haha :) He's sold about 8 guitars since he's been there (which is only a month) and has been shooting past the other guys for sales. So he loves his job, and he's very good at it, so we're very excited about that!
We've also been getting ready for my brother's wedding which is three weeks after Logan & Mine, so that's been fun too! I'm doing the photos for the wedding so there's been a lot of prep and figuring out what to do. I think we're going to have a lot of fun with this wedding and I can't wait to share their day with them :)

Photoshop
I found this picture of Logan that I took awhile back and thought it had so much potential, but I never actually sat down to see what I could do with it until recently. I'm so impressed! It has sort of inspired me to begin a "series" if you will of simple black and white portraits just like it!

It's been awhile....
Yes, needless to say it's been awhile since an update! I do have an excuse though! I don't have internet at my apartment..so I don't get to come on very often!
It has been a busy few months for sure, making wedding plans, booking places, getting invitations ready and dresses ordered! In spite of all the busyness, things are falling into place! As I type this, we have all the dresses ordered, the venues booked, invitations almost ready to be mailed out, registry almost finished, and more! It's been crazy, but I've been enjoying everything and watching it all fall into place! What's next is getting tuxes, flowers and planning out the ceremony and reception. Still a few more busy months until the big day! :)
Logan, Davis, Kaden and I also had the opportunity to go to Ontario to visit all their relatives and friends. It was a really great week and I got to meet a lot of great people! The week was super busy with family gatherings and church events and touring around Toronto, so it went by too fast. We're hoping to make it back again soon and to stay a little longer :)
Another interesting thing that has happened over the past month, is my brother Kyle got engaged as well! Their wedding date is July 2nd of this year! For my family, within a span of 5 weeks, there are 2 weddings and a baby! Good summer on the horizon!

Going dancing in the minefields
Logan's aunt Caralyn posted this song on my facebook profile and I absolutely love it! First time I listened to it, I cried. It's one of those great songs that reminds us of the sacredness of marriage. Becoming one and losing our life for the other, something that never ends. So here we go dancing in the minefields.
Dancing in the Minefields - Andrew Peterson
I was 19 you were 21
the year we got engaged
everyone said we were much too young
but we did it anyway.
We bought the rings for 40 each
at a pawn shop down the road
we said our vows and took the leap
now 15 years ago
And we went dancing in the minefields
we went sailing in the storms
and it was harder than we dreamed
but I believe that's what the promise is for
well ''I Do'' are the two most famous last words
the beginning of the end
but to lose your life for another I've heard
is a good place to begin
Cause the only way to find your life
is to lay your own life down
and I believe it's an easy price
for the life that we have found
and we're dancing in the minefields
we're sailing in the storms
and this is harder than we dreamed
but I believe that's what the promise is for
that's what the promis is for
so when I lose my way
find me
so when I loose love's chains
bind me
at the end of all my faith
to the end of all my days
when I forget my name
remind me
cause we bear the light of the son of man
so there's nothing left to fear
so I'll walk with you in the shadowlands
till the shadows disappear
cause he promised not to leave us
and his promises are true
so in the face of all this chaos
baby I can dance with you
So let's go dancing in the minefields
let's go sailing in the storms
let's go dancing in the minefields
and kicking down the doors
Lets go dancing in the minefields
and sailing in the storms
this is harder than we dreamed
but I believe that's what the promise is for

We're Engaged!!....and I'm finally telling the story!
Yes, the long wait is over! I have been procrastinating. Mainly because my computer has been down and I just bought a new one and just got my monitor and installed photoshop back on my computer yesterday, so I was finally able to convert my photos to post! Phew. All done now!

Anyways, Logan and I are engaged!! He popped the question on December 22, 2010 at around 8:45 ish. I was working until 8 that night and was planning on doing roomie christmas with my roomate! Now maybe before I tell the story, I'll start out with what I was expecting. It's more humorous that way :)
I knew Logan was going to propose sometime either in December or January. We were wanting to get married this summer and I really like the month of June. So he asked me how much time I would need to plan a wedding. I told him around 6 months, so he made his schedule :P Since I knew he was going to propose soon, I was planning on looking as pretty as I could. I was expecting him to maybe take me out for a nice dinner and then ask me afterwards, so I was planning on having some time to get all dolled up. I had sparkly jewelly I was going to wear, I was going to do my makeup, wear my best clothes etc. But he happened to propose to me when I was totally surprised. I was also sick that day, so my nose was red and runny, my hair was a mess and my eyeliner was running. Not to mention my eye was also bloodshot. Needless to say I looked SOOOO good :P Anyways, now that you have the picture of how great I looked, I'll continue.
I come home from work around 8:35 ish and walk in to the apartment with all the lights turned off, except the hall light. All the way from the door to the kitchen were red and white rose petals. I immediately knew what was going on. I walk down the hallway, and on the kitchen table were roses all laid out nice and a vase of roses in the middle. There were a few candles spread out throughout as well, and in between two candles was the ring! I was just shocked! I looked into my living room, and there he was, handsome as ever in his suit. I didn't even really notice the ring at first, so he got up, pointed to the ring, and then got down on one knee and popped the question!! It was so wonderful and exciting, and I just can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him! The official date is June 11, 2011. 5 months away :)

This is what I saw when I walked into the apartment

The beautiful arrangement of roses that my roomate Michelle delighted in helping him with!

The ring in the box!!

The absolutely GORGEOUS bouquet of roses he bought for me! Just one half of it though :)

This is pretty much exactly what my ring looks like. The only difference is on each side of the big diamond, there are seven diamonds instead of 6. Also on the front and back of the big diamond is one small diamond. Absolutely gorgeous! He did a great job!!
*EDIT* I also took a picture of Logan sitting in the chair in his suit, but it was on another camera and the pictures were on my laptop that's in Edmonton. I might add that one in here too, once I get it :) But don't worry. He looked great!
