Love the laughter!

I found this video of Evan from about 2 months ago. Just a video of him laughing! I tried to get him to laugh on the other video I posted of him but it didn't work to well, so here's a good one :) He's five months old today!

Also, I've been in Edmonton for exactly one year today. Crazy! It's gone by pretty fast now that I look back.

Garage saleing is always welcome!

I've had good luck with garage sales lately. Thomas and Hannah Bussemeier were up this weekend visiting, and Hannah wanted to go garage saleing, so my mom and I went with her. I've been wanting to start storing up on furniture for when I move out in may, and had almost everything I needs except for living room furniture, so that was my goal today. We went to one garage sale, I found a really nice TV stand for five bucks! It has a little ding on the side, but hey, five bucks! Love the color and it's really solid, and it would be very easy to fix! This is the corner ding. Nothing a good sanding and stain can't fix!

Another Garage sale we went to had a really nice chair for sale but they wanted $85 dollars for it. Hannah advised me to wait for a little while and come back near the end of their sale so they would be a little more desperate to deal (Germans know these things :) ) so I did, came back, and offered $60, and they agreed! As we were loading it up, the lady came up to me and told me they'd be willing to sell me their other one that is exactly the same for the same price, so I agreed and now I have two pretty much brand new leather recliners with ottoman's for my living room! Also, they swivel :) Take a look!

And now there's six

I've always wanted to collect vintage cameras. Something about the history behind them is just fascinating to me, but I just never really looked for them because I assumed they'd be so expensive. A week or so ago, the Kennedy's were up visiting and they had to go pick Janessa and Jillaine up at the airport here in Edmonton, and I get home from work and the girls surprised me with a really neat polaroid camera from 1969!! I was so excited about it and couldn't quit gushing, and I still think it's awesome by the way :) So that started my search! My mom and I went on a tour around the area and found a really neat antique store in Alberta Beach. She didn't have any camera's but she takes names and watches for things that people are looking for. So I left my name, not expecting to be called for awhile. About 3 or 4 days later, she calls me up and lets me know she found two really neat cameras. So I drove to the store, and instantly loved them! One was from 1934, the other was from 1954 ish with a flash as well. Then, today we went garage saleing, and I found three more that aren't quite as old, but are still neat in their own way. Here they are....
This is the camera Janessa and Jillaine bought for me in Virginia. It's so awesome! Thanks girls :)

This is the camera from 1934. It's pretty portable, especially for the thirtys. When the lens folds up it looks like this....Not bad for the film being about 4 inches by 3 inches! This camera is a double lens camera from 1954 ish. I love the looks of it! The flash is probably double the size of the camera. Didn't want to stand to close to your model with this one :)

These two cameras are two I found at a garage sale today. They aren't my favorite, I definitely prefer the older looking, accordion type cameras. But I'm guessing these are from the 80's. I have the manual for one of them, but haven't been able to find a date on it. So we'll see! I think they are from the 80's because they kind of look like a small piece of the Delorean :)....Just checked google, The first one was created in 1986, but it stopped production in 1990 because no one was interested in the tiny negatives it had (the film was on a disc), and the second picture, this camera was circa 1983 ish. So yep, the 80's :)

And this is another find from the same garage sale as the other two. This camera is, as far as I could find on google, from around 1979 and surprisingly, retails at 79.00. sweet! It's pretty neat and when it's all folded up...Looks roughly like a gigantic stapler :) Gotta love the 80's where bigger was better!
