Procedure...Done

I got my wisdom teeth removed yesterday! It went really well surprisingly. All the teeth came out relatively easy (except the sideways one, but that was expected) and I even laughed sometimes during the procedure! My dentist was leaning on the water hose and he kept spraying himself, so I laughed, and I had blood in my mouth, so because I was laughing, I accidentally spit some blood up close to the nurse, so she laughed. It was a good time haha. Afterwards she told me she never had a patient that laughed when they were pulling teeth. So at least I was able to keep some good moods about it :) So far recovery has been pretty good, except yesterday I fainted (That was scary) I barely ate anything yesterday so I was really hungry. Then I took a T-3 and went and had a hot bath...not so smart. After I got out of the bath, I went downstairs to hug my mom before going to bed, and I blacked out for a good thirty seconds. I couldn't see or hear anything, and I "woke" up slowly to my mom yelling at me seeing if I was ok I still couldn't hear her really and I was really dazed and didn't know what was going on. so she sat me on the couch and I threw up and could hear and was finally able to be coherent. It was definitely scary. My mom thought I was going to seizure. But today, I'm doing much better. A lot more sore and swollen then yesterday, and Logan requested a picture of my chipmunk face, so here it is. I just woke up when we took this picture, so bear with me :P

Not as swollen as I expected, but I'm taking ibuprofen. So that makes it easier!

Are You ready for some real pain?

I'm sure not! But I'm going to have to deal with it!

I went to the dentist yesterday to get my wisdom teeth looked at, because I keep biting my cheek. I went in there thinking that they're all going to be fine because my one came in perfectly straight with no pain or anything. BUT then we got the x-ray pictures back and oh boy. I have to get them removed in a week. That was quick! The one that came in straight is fine, but they're probably going to remove it anyways so it doesn't cause any future grief. One of them is still under the gums and is infected, the other one won't have enough room to come in...and the other one....is growing completely sideways into my other molars!!! My molar has a little dent in it from my wisdom tooth, and if the damage is too much, they'll have to take my molar out too! Yikes. They'll also have to break that wisdom tooth into a few pieces to get it out because it's still under the gum, and it's sideways. I'm also going to be awake for the whole thing....I think that's the worst part! Oh well, the sooner I get them out the sooner it'll go away. So here goes! Ready from some good pain, a fat face for a couple days, and lots of cheek bruising haha.

A Few Hawaii Pics...finally :)

So, I'm finally getting around to getting some of our pictures up (Sorry about the underline...I don't know why it's on) But here are only a few!!

Dad watching the "Dark Knight" at about 3 or 4 in the morning. we thought it was too funny that he chose to relax in a wheel chair :) In all fairness, he was "Charging his laptop."

Mom and Marlys, just shortly after we found out our last hope of getting out of Seattle was cancelled. So we decided to document our Christmas vacation in the airport just in case we never actually made it :)
Kyle Dad and Terry after hearing the bad news...for the fourth time.
The view from Mom,Dad and My room. A little stormy back in the hills that day.
The view from Marlys, Terry and Kyle's room (Just across the hall from us) That beach straight ahead is Waikiki beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

My cute sister videotaping the action on our first day exploring. This is Waikiki Beach.
The second or third day, we made our way to Pearl Harbor. This is the Battleship Missouri. This ship has quite the history. Wikipedia it or something sometime. The Japanese actually signed the surrender in World War 2 on this ship!
The plaque commemorating the surrender. It was soon after built into the deck of the ship.
And this is I think one of two recycle bins we saw in our entire trip in Hawaii. Surprisingly, you'd think they'd recycle their cans more. Marlys and I joked about writing "Don't" after "we" on the bin :)
This was my favorite place to visit. Lovely Hanauma bay. The snorkelling was great!
This is the coral reef that we got to go snorkelling in in Hanauma bay.
Kyle, Terry, Mom and Dad going snorkelling in Hanauma bay.
We went to an authentic Luau on Christmas day! It was great!
The roast pig coming out of the underground oven. SO delicious!
And the sunset on Christmas day :)

Something to Pray for in the New Year...

Deliver me Jesus
From the desire of being loved;
from the desire of being honored;
from the desire of being praised;
from the desire of being preferred to others;
from the desire of being consulted;
from the desire of being approved;
from the fear of being humiliated;
from the fear of being despised;
from the fear of suffering rebuke;
from the fear of being forgotten;
from the fear of being wrong;
from the fear of being suspected;

And Jesus, grant me the grace to desire that others might be loved more than I;
That others might be more esteemed than I;
that in the opinion of the world, others may increase and I decrease;
that others may be chosen, and I set aside;
that others may be praised and I unnoticed;
that others may be preferred to me in everything;
that others may become holier than I, provided that I become as holy as I should.

We received this one night at the bible study back in Sexsmith and I just found it again today. I hope it'll humble you as it has humbled me. Happy new years everyone!
