More wedding photos from this summer

I just realized that I never posted photos from our best friend's Brady and Renessa's wedding so here are a few! Photos were taken by Renessa's cousin Shandy Wascylciw with Captured by Shandy

This one cracks me up everytime!

We're just besties, NBD. I think this is a very nice picture of us

This picture is really special - Renessa's mom is only 41, and her grandma i think is 56 ish so this is a picture of her, her mom, her grandma and her great grandma's wedding rings. You don't get that opportunity very often!

Speaking of weddings, we have another one this year! My cousin Brad is getting married. He actually asked me to take pictures of them the night they proposed. The plan was to have me come along. Kristena had been complaining that they don't have any pictures together, so Brad just explained that me being there was because they don't have any pictures together so it was just a photo shoot. So we had some fun in downtown GP and then in the middle of our photo shoot. I distracted Kristena and while she was talking to me, Brad got down on one knee behind her, and when she turned around i started shooting like crazy! It was lots of fun and I can't wait for the wedding day :)

Seems like it will be another summer full of weddings, but i don't mind :) Weddings are always a wonderful occasion!

Snowy Winter

We have a TON of snow right now - I would say close to 3 feet. It's been crazy.
This is how much snow was on our deck the FIRST time i shovelled. Sorry it's blurry, but it came up close to my knee!
This was before the last snowfall, so we have more snow than that now!

This was how much snow was on our deck the SECOND time i shovelled. It took me close to two hours to shovel the deck the first and second time. I think we will be getting a smaller deck someday!

We've been having a lot of fun this winter - lots of friends over so it's been really fun! But other than that preparing for Christmas and loving Christmas music especially much this year for some reason. This year for Christmas we don't have much planned. Logan only has Christmas day off so we aren't going anywhere. I'm going to Edmonon from the 22-24 to visit with my family but will be back for Christmas day and boxing day, so it sounds like it will be a low key Christmas.

It's been a good year this year. I think I might write a "Christmas" letter to put on here. It may not get done by Christmas so it may end up being a New Years letter..But I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years. Love you all!

Unicorn Infestation

I seem to have Unicorns infesting my house. They pooped all over my cookie sheets...

Just kidding! This is my snack for our small group on Sunday. It's our christmas party with ugly sweaters, gift exchange and snack potluck. I thought everyone would get a kick out of these glittery "poops" :)

Look alikes

ok...so this is kind of a rip off from Darla's post on look alikes, but I just thought it was fun and should share some of the look alikes we *cough* Logan *cough* get all the time. Logan gets compared to the likes of:

Kenny Loggins
 Chris Evans:

 and Pierce Brosnan:
And then there's me.
I get:
Yup. There's me just lookin' like Kevin Spacey. NBD. :) I usually get Asian look alikes, so I was quite surprised to get Keving Spacey. Good times :)

Life These Days

Well, as usual, i haven't posted anything in a few months...so forgive me for that :P It's been fairly busy around here lately. With what, i'm not entirely sure. Just seems like most nights are taken up now. We have been still quite involved in our little church which is - AMAZING! We are absolutely loving our church. Our new pastor and his wife have been the best thing to happen to this church since we've been there, and we have only the Lord to praise for that! There seems to be a revival flowing through it and it is just incredible to watch and be a part of it. We have had some growth in numbers but it's mainly been growth in faith. I've noticed it especially in our own hearts. Awhile ago i posted about how frustrated I was that people all around me were thriving and alive and how i was feeling dead. Now I can say that I feel alive, thriving and amazing. The Lord has really been working on my heart and I am just so excited about it. Praise the Lord for this change! It is truly refreshing and what we needed.

Work has been busy as well, I just received a raise and have now been the one training the new people. It's been challenging to say the least, but the people I am training have been doing really well, so it's been making things a lot easier! Logan's job is going really good as well. Another person from his work is leaving, so Logan is in a sense getting a promotion and will take over this guy's responsibilities. They are also going to be hiring about 3 new people so it will be interesting! Hopefully things go well.

Other than that i guess we have just been entertaining, having lots of people over and just enjoying people's company! That's enough to keep us quite busy, but it's something we really enjoy doing.

We've recently been able to spend a lot of time with our nephews (some of them, and "a lot" being more than usual) It was great! My sister and her family came to stay with us for a week, my brother came for a day or two during that week and it was really nice to see everyone! we also had brent and chantelle over too so we had the 4 little boys running around the house and it was awesome! We had a blast with them! These videos might be sideways..i need to turn my phone the other way when i'm videoing i guess :)

Evan thought these were the crayons he was supposed to use on his coloring page when we were visiting a store - he kept saying "Mom! These crayons aren't working!!!)
I got to babysit Marshall and Keaton a couple of weeks ago and we had fun. I loved this pic of them "playing" Mario Kart together :)

Tyler started doing this weird eyebrow lift thing when he was here. Hilarious!

Marshall and Evan playing Mario Kart - Marshall is Luigi in the bubble just floating in the air - so funny :)

When I Say I Do - Matthew West

Logan, Kaden and Amy singing "When I Say I Do" by Matthew West at Tim and Jenna's wedding. So beautiful!

When I Say I Do - Matthew West

There must be a God, I believe its true.
Cause I can see His love, when I look at you.
And he must have a plan for this crazy life.
Because He brought you here and placed you by my side.

chorus:
And I have never been so sure of anything before,
Like I am in this momment here with you
Now for better or for worse are so much more than only words
And I pray everyday will be the proof
That I mean what I say when I say 'I do'
Yeah I mean what I Say when I say 'I do'

You see these hands you hold, will always hold you up
When the strength you have just aint strong enough
And what tomorrow brings, only time will tell
But I will stand by you in sickness and in health

Cause I have never been so sure of anything before
Like I am in this momment here with you
And now 'for better or for worse'
Are so much more than only words
And I pray every day will be the proof
That I mean what I say when I say 'I do'
Yeah I mean what I say when I say

Take my hand and take this ring
And know that I will always love you through anything.

And as the years march on like a beating heart
I will live these words 'til death do us part'

Cause I have never been so sure of anything before
Like I am in this moment here with you
And now for better or for worse
Are so much more than only words
And I pray everyday will be the proof
That I mean what I say when I say 'I do'
Ya I mean what I say when I say 'I do'

Weddings Weddings!!

We have a ton of weddings this summer! I know of about 8 people that are getting married and we are invited to 4 of those wedding. We have already attended/been apart of two of them.
The first wedding was on June 23 for our dear friends Tim Fehr and Jenna Koop. It was such a beautiful wedding and I can't count the number of times I cried during the day! I have been extremely excited for them as they have looked so forward to this day for many years! By the time they got married they had been together for 4.5 years! Beautiful couple and beautiful wedding :) Logan, his brother Kaden and Kaden's girlfriend Amy (also Jenna's sister) sang the special music. They performed "When I Say I Do" by Matthew West and did a phenomenal job! (I will post the video later) Congrats to the new Mr and Mrs Fehr!

The second wedding we attended was of Logan's brother Davis and his new wife Danielle on June 30! I was the photographer for the wedding, and unfortunately do not have any photos edited as of yet. I hope to get a few finished tomorrow for a sneak peek ;) It was a beautiful wedding and again, we were so excited and happy for them!! Danielle has quite an awesome sense of style and everything at the wedding was just stunning! So happy for them, and they are now honeymooning in Newfoundland! Logan was Davis best man and you can read more about their wedding here and here.

The next wedding we are going to is our best friend's Brady Rideout and Renessa Hale. They are getting married August 4 and we are quite involved in that wedding! Logan is the best man and I am the matron of honor! We are so stoked for them! We have really wanted friends like Brady and Renessa and we are so thankful for their friendship! We now have the kind of friendship that when we have kids, they will be known as Uncle Brady and Aunty Renessa! I will post pics of their wedding when it comes!

The last wedding we have this summer is on September 29 for our friends Craig Donnelly and Amanda Giesbrecht. We actually have no part in the wedding, so it will be quite different to sit through an entire wedding and have nothing to do! The last time I went to a wedding and had nothing to do was about....2004. Yep...it's been awhile :) We are so excited for all of our friends/family to start this journey with their spouses! Can't wait to see what the future holds for each and every one :)

One year of sheer bliss...

We *recently* had our first year anniversary...well, recently as in about 3 weeks ago :) We had a very low key anniversary as we had just moved into our new house about 2 days prior, and my mom and dad were here helping us move/visiting. They had just went home and we really wanted to relax, so we didn't do much! We ordered pizza (straight to our door! Logan was really excited) Ate specialty chocolates and watched movies together, my favorite kind of night :)
It's hard to believe it has been a year already. I guess the saying "time flies when you're having fun" is not an exaggeration! I've learned a lot over this last year a few of them being:
1. Logan is a terrific encourager and leader
2. Logan also is a terrific procrastinator, at least when it comes to *me* getting things done!!
3. I'm not as patient and kind as I thought I was (that was a rude awakening!)
4. After a stressful day, the fastest way to feel better is to laugh. Logan's good at making me do that.
5. Always keep the house stocked with a few essentials: chocolate syrup, ice cream, milk and cheese. Oh and meat...lots of meat!
6. "couch time" is my favorite time of the day. It's where we sit down on the bed or the couch and just talk about each other's days, encourage each other and pray.
7. I'm a fantastic Halo Player, especially with Logan as my teammate ;)
8. We can't make it without God being the center. Marriage is hard.
9. I have anger issues :P
10. My love for Logan does not stop, it grows each and every day. I love him more today than I did last year (if that was possible!)

It has been the best year of my life. There is no exaggeration to that! Logan is my best friend, my supporter, my encourager and my love. Here's to the rest of our lives... :)

Home Sweet Home!

We did it! We bought our first home, and we love it!! We've been here just over a week now, and i think our favorite thing is the bath tub :) We only ended up looking at 5 houses that were in our price range (only 5 out of the 15-20 that didn't have offers on them) and this was the 4th, newest, nicest and cheapest one we looked at and just loved it! We are truly blessed :)
