Evan Pictures!

Here are the first few pictures of Evan! I am unfortunately not there so mom and dad just sent me an email! Here's the little guy! My mom is so excited about being a grandma!

And kyle is very excited about being a first time uncle!

Evan and his cute little going home outfit.

Terry holding Evan. I don't know how he could be comfortable like that...
And the New Happy Family of Three!

It's a Boy!!!!

Marlys had her baby!!! She went into the hospital at 4:30 this morning and was sent home to have a warm bath to speed things up. So she did but they came back two hours earlier than they were supposed to. With only about an hour and a half of pushing, Evan Wade Bouthillier was born!!! He's a healthy 6 pounds 6 oz and is very alert and rambunctious! He hasn't slept since he was born which was 3 hours ago now and I guess he's just looking all over and moving. He's just awesome!! In the words of his father "He's pretty perfect!" I'm going down friday morning to meet the little guy and spend as much time with him as I can before the rush of the baby shower the weekend after! I don't think I've loved anyone as much as this little boy right now!! I'll post pictures when I get them :)

Baby Time???

Marlys' due date was actually yesterday so we're anxiously awaiting the baby any time now. And also, this morning at 2 she started to get contractions which haven't quit yet! We're looking forward to a new baby maybe as early as tonight! I'll keep you all posted :)

Beautiful Song

This is a beautiful song someone showed me by Brad Paisley and Sara Evans called "New Again"
I'll post the lyrics, and the video will follow....

Mother - do not cry for me
All of this is exactly how it's supposed to be
I'm right here. Can you hear my voice?
My life, my love, my Lord....my baby boy

As they nail me to this tree
Just know the Father waits for me
God how can this be your will?
To have your son and my son killed?

Whatever happens...whatever you see...
Whatever your eyes tell you has become of me
This is not...
Not the end...
I am making all things new again

I remember when you were born
In that manger where I first held
You in my arms
So many miracles and lives you've changed
And this world repays you how?
With all this pain
As they nail me to this tree
Just know the Father waits for me
God how can this be your will?
To have your son and my son killed?

Whatever happens (Whatever happens)…whatever you see (I don’t want to see)…
Whatever your eyes tell you has become of me
This is not (Tell me it is not)…
Not the end…
I am making all things new again

Whatever happens (Ohhhh)… Whatever you see (Ohhhh)…
Whatever your eyes tell you has become of me
This is not (Noooo)…
Not the end…
I am making all things new again

Cake Numero Two

So my dad and I were planning on going to Medicine Hat tomorrow to see the sibs and wait for the baby, so I figured that I would get my cake done and all my lesson practices done since I will be missing the cake course this sunday. Then my mom called tonight and said she's coming back on Saturday anyways so there's no point in my dad and I going down tomorrow. My cake is now complete, so I'll show up to cake class with a finished cake haha :) Anyways, here's the cake with a few of my own mods. The cake in the book was supposed to have two clowns (I really don't like the creepy clown heads haha) and it didn't have balloons. It obviously didn't say happy baby either haha. I was going to bring it to medicine hat for everyone to eat so it's not in the house tempting me :)
I made a white cake this time with butterscotch pudding in the middle! It sounds like it would be so good!! Anyways, there's the clown cake! One more cake to make for this course!

Caking it up!

I just got back from my cake class and I "finished" my first cake! Well, I kinda forgot a couple of things, namely white icing (How do you forget that?) so because of that, I couldn't put clouds on my rainbow...oh well! still turned out good! Take a look...

Also, along the bottom edges we were supposed to use white icing but again, my terrible memory inhibited that, so I improvised and a lot of the ladies liked it! Next week we have to make a clown cake and had to buy creepy clown heads for it. We'll see how that one works.

Portrait Fun!!

We were assigned a portrait assignment using four lights (The typical portraits you'd find at Wal-Mart) and I actually had fun setting everything up. Rachelle posed for me, and I really like the way the shots turned out. Here's a few!!

One stop wedding shop, on the way!

I am currently enrolled in a cake decorating course being offered at Michael's here in Edmonton! I had my first class today which was really fun actually! There was a lot of information that was shared and we didn't do any decorating today, but I'm really excited! I'll have to show some pictures of the cakes we do when we get going. Next week we're decorating a cake with a rainbow! When I got home from the course today, my dad said "Now you can have a one stop wedding shop! When people come for pictures, offer them a cake!" Not such a bad idea :)

Back from a very rushed trip!

My dad ended up having to go back to GP for some interviews and meetings. Originally just my parents were going to go because I had school and I couldn't really miss two classes. They wanted to know if I wanted to go because I'm doing a multimedia project for photojournalism class on hospital clowns, and my cousin happens to be a hospital clown. The down side was she was only at the hospital on tuesday's and thursdays which made it very difficult for me to be there to actually do my project. On tuesday, my teacher emailed us saying that our critique class scheduled for thursday was moved to friday because the guest speaker had a funeral on thursday. So that narrowed it down to one class on thursday. I decided to call Chantelle's boss to see if it would work out. I called her tuesday night and she didn't call back that evening because she was out. So I decided to pack a suitcase just in case she called the next morning and then I wouldn't have to worry about rushing home to pack. She ended up calling the next day and we got everything organized and I was able to go!! in about an hour after everything was all ok'd we took off to GP. After that is was completely rushed, I visited with the Kennedy's for only about half an hour the whole time, and then followed chantelle around from about 7 in the morning today to about 3. Then we went for lunch and headed back to Edmonton! so now I'm back and finished with one major project which is a huge relief and big load off my back! I'll only put on a few pictures later of the day...I got to drive the mini car :) Anyways, despite the rush it was a pretty good trip. I would have liked a little more time to visit, but what can you do? 5 more weeks and I'm done my first year and free for 4 months!!

Let's Get your health in Check!

So I went to the doctor's this week. I guess I'm pretty sick and I didn't know about it! It was definitely a shock. But I went in for another reason a couple weeks earlier to find out what was going on, and he ordered me to get a bunch of tests done just to make sure it's nothing serious (still didn't get the results back for the actual reason I went in though) but they found that I have E.coli from one of my other tests. It's not in the bloodstream though, so I was only prescribed anti-biotics for the week until I go back in a week to get another check up. We'll see what happens then. I've also got some really bad ear infections and who knows what else! I didn't even have any symptoms of E.coli to even suspect that I had it. But at least I know they caught it so it can be dealt with before it gets too serious! So if you happen to think of me this week, please say a quick prayer for health, I'd really like to finally be back to normal...

Marlys had a little bit of a spill this week in the bathtub. She slipped getting out and Terry took her to the hospital right away. She was at the hospital for a couple hours while they checked on her and the baby to make sure everything was fine, and praise God that everything was normal! She was pretty scared and we were worried to find out about it today. But she's doing good still, and they're looking forward to the new baby in a few weeks!!
