Since we weren't able to go to Regina for Christmas, Logan and I had secretly planned to go to Regina and surprise everyone in February. We decided to go over the long weekend to make sure that everyone had one day off that we could all be together. We went for the week of February 15-22.
We ended up telling Kaden and Amy because we didn't want to show up the week that everyone was so busy that we wouldn't be able to spend time with them, so Kaden kind of asked around and made sure that it was a fairly open week before we came. Amy ended up telling Liana because the sunday we surprised everyone was Shooter's baby shower and Amy mentioned changing the date, so Liana asked why. Amy told her and Liana suggested to keep the same date so as not to raise suspicion.
It worked out perfectly. We arrived in Regina around 4:30 pm, and it was right after the baby shower so people were just starting to filter out, but all the women were still at Janessa's and all the men were still at Davis and Dani's right beside them, so we decided to surprise the guys first and then pop over to see the women because we knew we'd be at the shower visiting for awhile.
Davis' reaction was I think my favorite, because we walked into their house, he looked at Logan and said "Hey Logan!...wait WHAT!?" He said hi at first like he was totally expecting us but then all of a sudden realized what was going on. Dad jumped off the stairs and just stood there dumb-founded for a bit before he came over and hugged us! Everyone else was just excited!
Then we went over to Janessa's and the first one we saw was Liana and Dani in the kitchen. Liana knew we were coming so she wasn't surprised, but Dani was and she came right over to hug us! then we went just around the corner and mom saw me and did a double take and then almost jumped out of her chair and came and hugged us! It was so great to surprise everyone and we had such a blast!
I didn't get too many pictures because I was too busy enjoying the time! Also we all ended up getting terrible colds so we were kind of just lazing around, drinking tea and being sick together :) it was still a lovely time!

We stayed for a week and while we were there played lots of games and music. We also of course made the trip to Moose Jaw to enjoy Deja Vu, the greatest little chicken wings/strips restaurant. We took the kids swimming on a day that Davis was off so he could come so that was really nice! We also had my friend Renessa and her son Bentley come on the trip as they knew mom and dad really well when they still lived in Grande Prairie.
It was such a great trip. The time always flies by so fast but we are hoping to go at Christmas this year!
